Feature overview

  • Expense App
    Attach a receipt as image or PDF

    Simply snap a photo of your receipt using the in-app camera or upload an image.

    You can also share PDF receipts from other apps—such as email apps, OneDrive, Uber, etc.—directly to the expense app.

     

    AI receipt scanning

    The AI Receipt Scanner will automatically capture and recognize the receipt data, filling in the amount, date, and description fields for you in the Expense App. 

    Smart autofill

    The system suggests fields for expenses from the same merchant based on previous entries. It can automatically fill in details like merchant name, category, payment method, and expense type, making it quicker to submit similar or recurring expenses. 

    VAT/sales tax input

    The AI Receipt Scanner automatically detects and records multiple VAT or sales tax entries on a receipt. It identifies all applicable tax amounts, even on receipts with different rates, saving time and ensuring accurate and compliant tax reporting. 

    Quick attachment access

    Easily access expense attachments directly from each allocation page in the Expense App. Whether it's a receipt, invoice, or other supporting document, you can view and manage attachments anytime in the process, ensuring you have all the necessary details at your fingertips. 

    Google Maps integration*

    Google Maps integration ensures accurate mileage tracking for every trip. It calculates distances based on the chosen route, guaranteeing precise registration and fair reimbursement without errors or guesswork. 

    Need to make multiple stops on the way? You can easily add via points to ensure your entire journey is accurately recorded.

    Daily allowance*

    With the Expense App, you can easily submit Per Diem claims from your mobile device. Just enter your travel details, such as dates and destinations, and the app calculates the Per Diem amount for you. Submitting claims is simple and ensures accurate reimbursements on the go.

    Notifications in the Mobile Expense App

    Users receive pop-up notifications on their smartphones whenever there’s an update. 

    These notifications apply to all types of expense documents—expenses, mileage, per diem, and expense reports—and show the amount in the local currency.  

    Notifications are sent when:  

    • An expense document is created, updated, approved, or completed.  
    • An expense report preapproval is either approved or rejected.

1. Capture your receipt

Snap a photo of your receipt, upload a PDF, or share a PDF directly from other mobile apps to scan it using AI-powered OCR technology. 

 

2. Select expense type

The AI Receipt Scanner autofills key details and suggests an expense type previously used for the same merchant. Simply review and add the relevant information if needed. 

 

3. Submit your expense

Once you’ve reviewed the information, simply swipe to submit your expense and you’re done—it’s that easy! 

Accurate mileage reporting with the Expense App 

Accurately track and submit your mileage directly from your mobile device with the Continia Expense Mobile App. With integration to Google Maps, the app precisely calculates mileage for accurate reimbursements. You can easily add "via" points to reflect your entire journey, ensuring nothing is left out.  

For employees with recurring routes, the app allows you to create reusable templates, saving you time on future submissions. 

 

Streamlined per diem reporting for Expense Users 

Easily submit travel-related expense reports by specifying travel periods, purposes, and other relevant details directly within the app. The intuitive interface ensures that your per diem reports are accurately calculated and promptly synchronized with Business Central via Continia Online. 

 

Seamless integration with Continia Expense Management 

The Continia Expense Mobile App integrates fully with Continia Expense Management, creating a unified solution for expense handling. Actions like logging mileage or submitting expenses sync in real time with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
