The challenge

The Odyssey Hotel Group uses Business Central SaaS in several European countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Greece, Spain, and Belgium. Each country works in its own Business Central live environment. In each of the individual countries, there are several hotels, which are registered as separate companies in Business Central.

Incoming invoices, payments and all finance administration are managed centrally from the headquarters in the Netherlands. To enable centralized management of the main tasks by the headquarters, Odyssey Hotel Group needed a solution that ensures a uniform process in all countries.

The solution

The experienced Microsoft Dynamics partner, NASCONCEPTION GmbH, supported the Odyssey Hotel Group in their endeavor to streamline and centralize the management of their AP processes. In addition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Busines Central, they implemented two of Continia’s add-on solutions, Document Capture and OPplus, which help to automate and streamline accounts payable tasks. 

The result

The implementation of Continia’s Document Capture and OPplus solutions has improved Odyssey Hotel Group’s financial operations. Document Capture guarantees centralized invoice management ensuring that invoices are assigned to the relevant companies, and all payments are processed efficiently and easily at the headquarters in the Netherlands.

In addition, Document Capture enables an automated process from data entry to posting and retrieval of archived documents. This saves time and also eliminates inefficient processes, freeing up more capacity for other tasks.

OPplus ensures that open postings are automatically reconciled and recurring postings are automatically assigned via account rules, enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, OPplus simplifies the payment process, enabling the creation of payments and payment proposals in a single step - regardless of the file format and payment type.
